Many studies have demonstrated the health advantages of a diet based on fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes left in as natural a state as possible. These foods are called Whole Foods.
Whole Foods have no or very little packaging and processing. When you eat them you are getting the full nutrients and benefits of the food rather than just what is left over after ‘refinement’ and processing.
Some nutritious foods still require processing to be edible eg. Kidney Beans, but other highly processed foods like potato chips and soft drinks should be avoided due to the amount of added salt and sugar they contain. With whole foods you know exactly what you’re getting, there are no hidden nasties. Eating clean and fresh unprocessed whole food helps you look and feel healthy inside and out.
